It has an apex head, which is more pointed through the top of the tree, for horses with some wither. The panels flatten off towards the back, so it's one to try on a horse with a bit of wither and a flatter back, such as a Connemara or similar native type.

Fit & feel

Apex head, giving room for a horse with some wither.

Flat panels to the rear, sitting along a flatter back.

Double flap design.

Velcro knee blocks, which you can reposition to suit your leg length and position.

Full front gussets.

Wool-flocked panels, which a fitter can adjust to fine-tune the fit as your horse changes shape.

Fixed tree, currently W.

Leather.

This saddle suits a horse with some wither and a flat back, and it's well worth trying on Connemaras and similar types.
