Description

For horses with higher withers and toplines remaining straight after the deepest point.

The Amerigo Basso Pinerolo is designed to suit horses with straighter backs, and low to medium height withers. The Pinerolo leather is an upgraded luxury calfskin soft leather covering on the saddle flaps and skirts.

What our saddle fitters think: “The luxury and prestige of the Amerigo brand speaks for itself! These saddles just ooze quality craftsmanship and the variety of shapes, models, styles to suit both horse and rider are phenomenal. Sometimes high-end brands find a niche and stick to what works. Amerigo continue to grow and expand their brand with various saddle styles and models constantly with design based on equine biomechanics and research. Stunning saddles!”

Amerigo Saddles are crafted using top class French and Italian hides. The calfskin is drum-tanned in pure aniline, with only vegetative materials being used in the tanning of the leather. The specially selected hides, which come from environmentally certified tanneries, combine with the meticulous handcrafting, to ensure that every Amerigo saddle becomes a true “Made in Italy” masterpiece. To ensure that your Amerigo saddle retains its beauty and elasticity, it must be regularly treated with correct leather care products that clean and moisturise the leather without damaging it. These simple procedures create a natural protective barrier, which helps to defend the hide from natural wearing agents such as light and heat that can cause premature ageing.

The girth straps on the Amerigo saddles are made from a special leather type that does not require the use of any oil or oil-based products. We also recommend that all girth straps are checked regularly and replaced whenever necessary for your own personal safety.

A well-fitting saddle is essential to your horse’s comfort, welfare, and general health. If your horse changes shape, Amerigo saddles can be adjusted in width up to a maximum of 1.5cm each way. We advise you to check with your Amerigo Saddle Expert, and any alterations to the saddle tree should be undertaken by an Authorised Amerigo Saddler.

At saddles direct we offer a professional saddle fitting service for new Amerigo saddles and used Amerigo saddles. Our Amerigo trained saddle fitters have all the knowledge of this saddle to enable them a cutting-edge saddle fitting service for you and your horse.
