Ergonomic Stirrup Bar – The Bates saddle ergonomic, design registered, stirrup bar removes additional bulk under the saddle skirt, ensuring even closer contact and maximizing your comfort. The unique shaping offers secure attachment of your stirrup leather, while enabling the leather to come free if required during a fall. Selected Bates saddle models feature a recessed channel to the stirrup keeper, further eliminating interference with your leg for a closer feel of the horse and increased comfort.

Adjustable Flexibloc system – The Bates saddles adjustable flexibloc system does exactly what it says on the tin. They are adjustable knee blocks designed so the rider can position them for the best optimum performance aiding.

Opluence Leather - This Bates saddle model features soft milled, Opulence Leather on the exterior of the saddle. The Opluence leather is Renowned for its ultra-soft and grippy characteristics, ensuring immediate rider comfort, security and reducing any ‘breaking in’ time traditionally associated with new saddles. Bates saddle models featuring Opulence Leather often offer additional features such as a recessed stirrup channel for the ultimate in close contact, wear patches for added durability.

The EASY-CHANGE® Fit Solution is a customisable saddle fitting system designed to grow with your horse. It combines adjustable gullet bars (available in sizes from Medium to XW) with a riser system that allows your saddle fitter to fine-tune the saddle’s fit. This means your saddle can adapt as your horse’s shape changes or even be adjusted for a completely new horse—no permanent changes required!
CAIR® Cushion System
The CAIR® Cushion System replaces traditional flocking with air-filled panels to ensure your horse’s ultimate comfort. These sealed panels work by evenly distributing the rider’s weight across your horse’s back, helping to eliminate pressure points and allowing the panels to move and mould with your horse’s working muscles. This means your horse can enjoy complete freedom of movement, improved blood flow, and support for muscle development.
