This saddle has a slightly flatter tree on the underside and compact, slimline panels that allow the rider to feel closer to the horse. Although the seat is true to size, it offers a different feel to our Original GP and petite riders or those with narrower hips may feel it suits them better. This saddle is ideal for shorter backed, croup high or flat backed horses as well as standard fits. Super-comfy deeper seat that gives you a little extra in-saddle security and locates you centrally for balance and control. Versatile GP that’s forward enough cut to allow for jumping and cross-country as well as schooling and hacking. Fully adjustable knee and calf blocks provide customised leg support. Luxurious suede-effect seat covering and knee pads are non-slip and really comfortable to ride on. Flocked with 100% British wool.

The saddles are hand made by skilled craftsmen who hold qualified and master saddler accreditations which go towards ensuring each Thorowgood saddle are made concisely with all the quality and attention to detail you would look to find in any Thorowgood saddle. All the Thorowgood saddle range feature either the long R bar or short S bar unique adjustable gullet bar system which range from N-XXW in widths.
Easy-Care Being predominantly synthetic the Thorowgood saddles are super easy to care for from the faux leather and suede on the T4 models to the leather seat/knee pads and faux leather skirts and flaps on the T8 saddles the Thorowgood range are very light weight and very easy to care for. All Thorowgood saddles are flocked using traditional 100% British wool. The advantages to using British wool in Thorowgood saddles is that is moulds quickly settling to the shape of the horses back and offering optimum panel support.
