Ergonomic Stirrup Bar
The Bates saddle ergonomic, design registered, stirrup bar removes additional bulk under the saddle skirt, ensuring even closer contact and maximizing your comfort. The unique shaping offers secure attachment of your stirrup leather, while enabling the leather to come free if required during a fall. Selected Bates saddle models feature a recessed channel to the stirrup keeper, further eliminating interference with your leg for a closer feel of the horse and increased comfort.

Adjustable Flexibloc system
The Bates saddles adjustable flexibloc system does exactly what it says on the tin. They are adjustable knee blocks designed so the rider can position them for the best optimum performance aiding.

Heritage Leather
Bates heritage leather upholds the traditional European practices of natural oil and wax tanning. The high oil and wax content of this performance leather ensures optimum suppleness and enhanced rider grip. The heritage leather is a smooth finish more "traditional" flap leather type you would see on many saddles. This leather is used on many of the Bates performance saddle range.

4. We contact you for your free saddle consultation, answer any questions you may have and dispatch your saddles.
5. Trial your saddles for up to 5 days. Make sure you ride in both saddles to compare and arrange an in-person fitting with your saddle fitter if possible.
6. At the end of your trial, we will contact you to see how you got on and arrange collection of the saddles.
7. Once we have received the saddle(s) back and inspected them, we will issue any refunds necessary.
