The Bates All Purpose+ is a proper all-rounder, made for riders who want one saddle that copes with hacking, flatwork and popping a few fences without feeling like a compromise. The seat is deep and the waist narrow, so you sit down into the saddle rather than perched on top of it. In Luxe Leather it feels soft and grippy from the first ride, and the adjustable systems mean a fitter can tweak it as your horse changes shape.

17" seat, with a deeper seat for security and a narrow twist so it feels close underneath you

Adjustable Ergonomic Stirrup Bar: you lift the catch and slide the bar to line your leg up where it naturally hangs, then lock it back in place

Adjustable Flexibloc knee blocks, so your fitter can set the support where it suits your leg

EASY-CHANGE® Fit Solution: the gullet bar can be swapped by a fitter to change the width, which is handy if your horse's shape changes over time or the saddle moves on to a new horse

CAIR® Cushion System panels: sealed, air-filled panels in place of traditional wool flocking, designed to spread the rider's weight evenly and move with the horse's back as it works

Drop panel points and quilted panel points, with moulded knee inserts under the flap
