This used saddle is in good condition with the usual flap wear and surface scratches you would expect to see on a second-hand saddle.Condition Rating
5.0 = New Saddle with Tags
4.5 = Ex-demo Saddle, has been used for fittings.
4.0 = Excellent Condition, has been used and ridden in.
3.5 = Very Good Condition
3.0 = Good Condition
2.0 = Fair ConditionIf your horse has a high, prominent wither and you want a dressage saddle that gives it plenty of clearance without hunting for a bespoke fit, this Kent and Masters S-Series is built for exactly that. It suits a rider who wants the flexibility of positioning their own knee support rather than being locked into a fixed spot, and the deep seat encourages a classic, upright dressage position.
Fit & feel
- High wither profile, giving generous clearance over the withers and shoulders rather than the lower-set fit of a standard dressage tree.
- Velcro moveable knee block under the flap, so it can be repositioned to suit your leg length and how much support you want.
- Shaped knee pad with contour stitching, so the panel sits neatly around the block rather than bunching.
- Deep dressage seat, giving a secure, close-contact feel through sitting trot and canter work.
- R-Bar interchangeable gullet system, changeable by a qualified fitter to widen or narrow the fit as your horse's shape changes.
- Wool-flocked panels, allowing a fitter to add or remove flocking for fine adjustment.
- Changeable girth straps, giving some flexibility in girth position to help optimise stability.
This one's aimed at high-withered types, cobs and sports horses included, where a standard tree sits too low. If your horse has a more standard wither and would suit a flatter, more open seat instead, the Kent and Masters Dressage Standard Wither MDR is worth trialling alongside it. As ever, that's a starting point for narrowing things down rather than a fit guarantee, so we'd recommend trialling it alongside an appointment with a fitter to see how it sits on your horse.
