The Junior Vanquish is Fiona Cork's dressage saddle for the younger or more petite rider, and it's a genuinely thoughtful bit of design rather than just a scaled down adult saddle.

The narrower seat gives a smaller rider something they can actually sit in and around, the knee blocks are mounted on Velcro so they can be moved as a rider's position develops, and there are four girthing options underneath so your fitter has real scope to sort out where the saddle sits. Fiona Cork Saddles are a British maker based in Telford who build each saddle individually from the tree upwards, so a used one at this price is a lot of saddle for the money.

Fit & feel

16" seat on a pony tree, so panel length and flap size stay in proportion to a pony's back

Narrower Vanquish seat, designed for junior and petite riders rather than adapted from an adult block

Velcro mounted knee blocks that can be repositioned to suit the rider's leg, so the saddle can grow with them instead of being outgrown

Four girthing options including a point strap and a balance strap, currently set up on the middle and balance straps

Currently a medium fit, with a semi curved tree profile and an open head

Deep seat that encourages a classical dressage position without locking a developing rider in place

Straight cut dressage flaps for a long leg and close contact through the inner thigh

This suits a pony of medium build with some wither definition, and a junior rider who is ready for a proper dressage saddle but growing fast enough that adjustable blocks earn their keep. Once we have received the saddle(s) back and inspected them, we will issue any refunds necessary.
