2.0 = Fair ConditionA Kent & Masters Cob GP with a 17" seat on an adjustable gullet. Its owner used it for hacking and pleasure riding, and it's in good order. It's built for broader cob types that need a GP with plenty of room. It's a good all-rounder if your horse is broad through the back and you do a bit of everything.
Fit & feel
- 17" seat
- General purpose flap for flatwork, hacking and jumping
- Moveable Velcro knee blocks
- Drop panel, which extends a little further down under the leg
- Wool-flocked panels, which a fitter can adjust to fine-tune the fit as your horse changes shape
- Full front gussets
- Standard wither profile
- Kent & Masters S-Bar adjustable gullet: you choose the bar size and we'll fit it before it goes out, with bars available from NM to XXW
- Three girth straps: a fixed point strap, a fixed middle strap, and a third strap that moves between a second middle position and a balance position, giving plenty of girthing combinations to help keep the saddle stable
- Black leather
This one suits a broad cob type with a standard wither. It's worth trialling alongside a GFS Monarch Cob GP, which is also wool flocked, so you can compare the tree shape and how each one sits through your horse's back. An Arena Cob/Wide GP is another good adjustable option to try. It's on CAIR air panels rather than flocking, with a different tree shape, and its gullet runs from XW up to 4XW, so it's worth a look if your horse needs more width than XXW. As ever, that's a starting point for narrowing things down rather than a fit guarantee, so we'd recommend trialling it alongside an appointment with a fitter to see how it sits on your horse.
