Designed by Swiss master saddler Peter Menet, the Vega puts you forward over your horse's centre of gravity, so you're riding with the movement rather than sitting behind it. It's built on a flexible synthetic tree with a tempered steel headplate, engineered around the most common shoulder-to-back measurements, so it's a genuinely versatile jump saddle rather than one built for a narrow horse type. This is the "Special" leather version, with an upgraded soft Pinerolo calfskin covering the flaps and skirts for a more luxurious feel.

Independent, non-gusseted wool-flocked panels that contour to your horse's shape over time and can be adjusted along their full length rather than needing a full reflock

Special Pinerolo calfskin leather on the flaps and skirts, for a softer feel and more premium finish than the standard hide

Dual flap (double flap) construction for a traditional, supportive jump position

Width adjustable by up to 1.5cm each way by an Authorised Amerigo Saddler, so there's some room to move if your horse changes shape

The Vega's tree is designed to suit a broad range of horse shapes rather than one specific type, so it's a good saddle to start with if you're not sure exactly what your horse needs.

If you're trialling it alongside another Amerigo, the main things to compare are the leather (standard vs Special Pinerolo calfskin) and flap construction (dual flap vs monoflap), since Amerigo offer the Vega in both.
