The Thorowgood T8 Jump has longer, swept-back tree points that support the front of the panel, with forward-cut flaps and adjustable thigh and calf supports to help you hold a balanced jumping position. Like the rest of Thorowgood's standard range, the tree is quite shapely, so it tends to suit a horse with a more defined wither and back rather than a flatter type.

This one suits a horse with a defined wither and some shape through the back, ridden by someone who jumps. Kent & Masters make a Jump saddle on the same MJJ tree with a full leather seat, so if you like the fit of this one, trial the two side by side to feel the difference the leather makes. A Fairfax Classic Jump, on a similar tree, is another good one to compare it with. As ever, that's a starting point for narrowing things down rather than a fit guarantee, so we'd recommend trialling it alongside an appointment with a fitter to see how it sits on your horse.
